Cruise Fares
All fares are quoted in Euro and are per person based on double occupancy.
Fares include:
- Shipboard accommodations
- Ocean transportation
- All meals (on board)
- On board activities (as described in any cruise program).
Fares do not include:
- Port charges
- fuel surcharge
- Travel insurance
- Transfers from/to airport or hotel
- Optional air/sea or land programs (unless noted)
- Shore excursions (unless noted),
- Airport facility charges,
- Taxes/fees
Also not included are items of a personal nature such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, gratuities, gift shop purchases, medical services, phone calls, etc. All on board charges are in Euros.
Port Charges and Fuel Surcharge
Port charges and fuel surcharge are in addition to the cruise fares.
Guarantee of Fares
All passengers with confirmed bookings under deposit are protected of any price increase, except of major increase on fuel costs or on government new taxes regarding port taxes.
In any other case, excluding the above, Greek Island Cruises reserves the right to increase all prices for new bookings, without prior notice, including port charges, fuel surcharge, insurance and taxes/fees.
Single Supplement Rates
For single occupancy cabin reservations there is an additional 50% on the cruise fare per person.
Deposit and Payment
To secure reservation, a deposit of 25 % of the cruise fare per person is required within 10 days of booking.
Final payment is required 60 days prior to departure.
All payments may be made by Visa, Master Card, American Express and bank deposit.
Cancellations and Refunds
Notice of cancellation must be in writing and received by Greek Island Cruises no later than sixty (60) days prior to sailing. See the following bullets:
- Up to 60 days prior departure: 100% of cruise fare.
- 60-31 days prior to departure: 25% of cruise fare.
- 30-16 days prior to departure: 50% of cruise fare.
- 15 days or less prior to departure: No refund.
Cancel after start of the cruise: No refund.
Child Reduction
Children between the ages of 7-10 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount on the cruise fare per person in twin cabin.
Children between the ages of 10-16 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 35% discount.
Port taxes are not discounted.
Cruise Itinerary Change, Sailing Cancellation and Vessel Substitution
Greek Island Cruises reserves the right at its sole option and discretion and that of the Captain of the ship, without liability for damages or refund of any kind, to deviate from the ship's advertised or ordinary itinerary or route, either this is caused by weather conditions - sailing is not permitted by port authorities in case of winds if 7 beau fort or more - or other extraordinary conditions.
Such does not entitle passengers for any claims or refunds. Greek Island Cruises will however ensure that passengers access their port or disembarkation on time for their outwards flights.
Greek Island Cruises guarantees all departures with a minimum participation of 10 passengers. In the unlikely event that such would be required, the cancellation of a departure will be notified at least 60 days prior to the sailing date and alternative sailing dates will be offered to the passenger.
Greek Island Cruises may for any reason whatsoever cancel any sailing at any time for reasons of force majeure or else and Greek Island Cruises' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the cruise ticket and any other pre or post land tour or excursions package purchased from Variety Cruises.
Vessel Substitution
Variety Cruises may operate the cruise program with another vessel as long as this vessel is of the same or higher standard. Passengers offered a suitable alternative cruise program are not entitled to any refund.
Cruise Interruption
During the cruise should the vessel sustain any breakdown in machinery, or be disabled by fire, grounding or collision disrupting the cruise itinerary for more than 48 hours, and if no substitute vessel or arrangement is offered, passengers will be entitled to a refund proportional to the cruise days not operated. No further claims will be accepted.
It is further recognized that Greek Island Cruises is a Greek Company, the vessels are of Greek registry, and it is agreed between Variety Cruises and contractual party that the interpretation of the terms and conditions will be resolved solely according to the Greek Laws in Greek Courts.
Limit of Liability
Greek Island Cruises liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel;
any arrangements made by or for passengers either before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger's own risk. Greek Island Cruises does not own or control any ground transportation or hotels.

Kids are free! Travel insurance is provided, at no extra cost, to children who are under 18 years of age on the date of purchase of insurance and who are accompanied by their parent(s) or travelling with just their grandparents.
Purchase trip protection within 14 days of deposit and coverage for the following are covered:
- Existing Medical Conditions Exclusions & Coverage
- Supplier Default Coverage. Covers situations where a carrier, cruise line, tour operator or other travel entity goes into financial default.
Biz-Pac - a simple $24 add-on. Client who have to cancel or interrupt their trip due to business reasons are covered for their loss when they purchase this optional coverage.
